I started at FreeWheel as an intern in 2013 while pursuing an MBA at Wharton. The internship allowed me to apply my background (solving problems using data) to shaping the future of the TV industry. By the end of the experience, I was really excited to come onboard full-time. FreeWheel is in a unique position to address the complex challenges faced by media companies, and it does so by creating an entrepreneurial environment for great people and ideas to thrive.
Part of what makes FreeWheel so great is that I am a part of transformative moments every day. An experience that was particularly unique was presenting FreeWheel’s thought leadership on stage at Advertising Week. We regularly share data-driven insights with our clients, but to present our findings and ideas to a broader audience of innovators in advertising, media and technology was an exciting opportunity. It showed me just how big of an impact FreeWheel can have beyond our immediate client base and helped me grow in how I share ideas with the world.
Meet Huda Kazi

My decision to have a career in technology was a little bit accidental. Originally, I had planned to go to medical school, but decided to major in computer science to diversify my portfolio. I did a few internships and they were not just challenging, but fun. It was clear that pursuing technology was the right path for me. I started off at a media organization that offered the opportunity to tackle technical problems at a very fast pace. And now I’m on the tech vendor side, I bring all of my media problem experience to a company where I’m not just raising the problems, I’m actually building and driving the solutions.
I was a FreeWheel client for many years, which is how I first met the company. When the opportunity to work with the FreeWheel team arrived it seemed like an obvious choice. Today, I get to draw from my previous experience as an end-user of the FreeWheel platform to architect solutions that generate positive results for some of the largest media and entertainment companies in the world.

I first learned about FreeWheel while managing an ad operations team at another company. I was so impressed by the people who came from FreeWheel to talk to us about their solutions—they were incredibly smart and immediately able to answer all of my questions. It was clear then, as it is today, that FreeWheel is the best in the business… and I wanted to work for the best.
I have had various roles since joining FreeWheel: I started in 2012 as a support engineer, then moved on to solutions engineer and today I am a senior product manager. What I have loved about all of these roles is that they have enabled me to cultivate both tech expertise and client facing skills. This balance between tech and people is what I enjoy most—and product management is the pinnacle of this unusual combination. I did not expect to be here for so many years—that was not my plan. But the amazing people and a culture that prioritizes and values employees adds up to a truly great work environment.
Meet Tara Hines

I’ve been in the advanced advertising industry for over 15 years, during which I have delivered converged TV and OTT experiences through unifying core product assets, synthesizing “Big” cross-platform viewing data, and leveraging strategic content/ad tech partnerships. I hold multiple content and ad tech patents and have pioneered the development and launch of the industry’s first TVE mobile application and various releases of the first global, Connected TV/OTT ad network.
I joined FreeWheel in 2016 because the culture and growth opportunities the company offers are unsurpassed– this is a place where innovation thrives.
