"A new report indicates that marketers and advertisers will have to continue their shift towards mobile technology, as the trend looks to persist.
FreeWheel's Video Monetization Report has found that professionals wanting to engage consumers through video content will have to utilise these new platforms in order to be successful. It found that a quarter of all revenue gained from online video came from smartphones, tablets and over-the-top (OTT) devices during the second quarter of 2014.
According to the study, the concept of 'TV everywhere' is continuing to be popular among consumers, with the number of ads viewed on OTT platforms – such as Google Chromecast and Apple TV – having risen by 619 per cent year-on-year."
