FreeWheel Continues European Expansion
Relocates London Office; Announces Key Hires
London, June 30, 2015 — FreeWheel, the leading provider of video ad management and monetization solutions for the television industry continues its fast-paced European expansion, having relocated to larger office in Soho to accommodate the company’s growing commercial, marketing and support teams – including the appointments of ad and media industry veterans Jamie Caras, as Commercial Director for the UK and Ireland, and Emmanuel Josserand, as Marketing Director, Europe.
“FreeWheel’s business has grown steadily, doubling the number of premium publisher clients over the past year,” said Thomas Bremond, European Managing Director at FreeWheel. “FreeWheel’s impact is already being recognized throughout Europe and our expanded geographical presence, combined with enhanced sales and marketing support will ensure we continue to meet the needs of European customers as the media landscape continues to converge.”
Jamie Caras brings extensive experience in broadcast advertising to FreeWheel where he is responsible for the company’s commercial growth in the UK and Ireland. Prior to joining FreeWheel Jamie was the Business Development Director at content delivery specialist IMD, responsible for customer acquisition strategy and identifying new areas of commercial development. As the Sales Director at open ad management company Sizmek, he led the sales strategy and execution for Videofusion, the Company’s Digital/Linear convergence platform. During his tenure at Channel 5 he served as the broadcaster’s Sales Operations Controller, leading the sales operations team.
Emmanuel Josserand joins FreeWheel from Civolution, the leading provider of watermarking and fingerprinting based solutions, where he was the Global Marketing Director, responsible for global marketing and communications. As the Marketing Director at broadcast intelligence company Teletrax, which was acquired by Philips and became Civolution, he led marketing, communication and brand identity. Prior to Civolution/Teletrax, Emmanuel served as the Business Manager at Arcsoft Europe, where he managed and expanded the Digital Imaging business unit, working with the leading digital camera and image devices manufacturers.
“The breakdown of volume and audience fragmentation across desktop, mobile, tablet, and OTT means that publishers and operators across Europe are facing similar challenges that their North American counterparts have seen over the past few years,” adds Bremond. “The benefits that FreeWheel has provided its clients in the US for the last seven years makes the company uniquely positioned to help premium publishers navigate this exciting period of transformation.”
